Human SXM STRONG sign formed as a symbol of solidarity and support for Sint Maarten



CAY HILL – This past weekend law enforcement officers from Sint Maarten and the Dutch Kingdom along with EMS first responders came together in a friendly game of soccer at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex.  Before the start of the competition, they stood together to form a human SXM STRONG sign as a symbol of solidarity and support for Sint Maarten at the Learning Unlimited school parking lot.

Special thanks goes out the Police force of Sint Maarten, Curaçao, Aruba and the Netherlands, Koninklijke Marechaussee, the Fire Department, Dutch Military and Immigration for coming out. The event was made possible by the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Education Culture Youth & Sport and a group of volunteers.

The winning match was played between the Flames All Star, a team of local soccer players, and the Navy and Army. A special congratulations to the Navy and Army for winning this game.
