RSS could be heading for St. Kitts and Nevis this week

Basseterre, St. Kitts, -– With St. Kitts and Nevis experiencing a “bloody bath” of murders, shootings and armed robberies, unprecedented in the nation’s history, the Barbados-based Regional Security System (RSS) could be on its way to Basseterre as early as Wednesday.

According to sources in the Windward Islands, soldiers and policemen could begin assembling in Bridgetown, Barbados early this week for a Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning landing.

After nearly four years of complete silence, The St. Kitts and Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce recently acknowledged that “crime in the twin-island Federation has reached a new and dangerous level” and had become “a major threat to the peace, stability and security of St. Kitts and Nevis and to the economy.”

There have been several home invasions and armed robberies on Nevis and St. Kitts.

There have been 24 murders for 2018. The last four gruesome killings took place within the last 10 days.
