Oualichi Women’s Soccer Team Takes Home Second Place Trophy at FC Concordia Women’s Soccer Tournament

Sandy Ground- Sint Maarten’s Oualichi Women’s Soccer Team Oualichi WST secured the second place spot at the three-day female soccer tournament organized by FC Concordia at the Alberic Richards stadium this weekend.

After suffering a five nil defeat against the visiting Dominica Women’s Team on Friday evening Oualichi drew 1-1 through a penalty free kick scored by Dagmar Daal on Saturday evening.

On Sunday Oualichi beat St. Barths one nil with a goal scored by forward Amanda Wing through an assist by Melissa Brooks.

All of Oualichi matches saw strong performances against the much more experienced team with the team’s keeper Whitney Walsh being awarded Most Valuable Keeper of the tournament. Dominica took home the top spot with St. Barths coming in third.
