UPDATE #2 POLICE REPORT:

Fight among inmates at Point Blanche prison.

POINT BLANCHE, Sint Maarten — On Tuesday February 14th at approximately 10.00 a.m. police and detectives were sent to the Pointe Blanche Prison where a serious fight was going on between inmates.

On the scene the investigating officers learnt that indeed a fight had taken place and that one person suffered an injury to his head. He was taken to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for treatment. The reason why and who the others involved in this fight were, is still unclear.

The police has arrested one suspect in light of the incident. Detectives are busy investigating the case and information is very limited. As the investigation continues and more details become available the media will be informed.

Henson said there was a fight and one person (Ramon Gumbs) got injured and was taken for medical attention at the SMMC.
