St. Maarten should not let its guard down.

1992

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Haiti at this time. Haiti has again endured the wrath of a monster hurricane and the suffering left in its path is horrendous. No doubt the people of St. Maarten will come to the aid of Haiti, as we have always  done when disaster struck any of our neighboring islands.

We also pray for the Bahamas as they face the prospect of being directly hit by hurricane Matthew.

On St. Maarten, we can’t  let our guard down, as the hurricane season is not yet over and new systems are developing  in the south Atlantic Ocean.

Continue to monitor the weather, so we too are prepared for any eventuality.
