Committee of Petitions to meet on Thursday about Letter from Simpson Bay Village residents

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – Parliament’s Committee of Petitions will meet in a House session on April 9.

The permanent Committee meeting is set for Thursday at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The first agenda point is the committee’s work method; the second agenda point is a letter from residents of Simpson Bay Village containing a petition to investigate the developments surrounding the land next to the former BBW in Simpson Bay; to halt actions of government in this areas concerned and grant additional parcel of land to Mr. M.K. Halley.

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations.

The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.
