SINT MAARTEN — The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) is investigating a physical altercation that occurred at a fast-food restaurant in Simpson Bay on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
At approximately 7:20 p.m., KPSM Central Dispatch received multiple reports of a fight at the establishment. Police patrol units were immediately dispatched to the location.
Upon arrival, officers determined that the altercation had already ended. Preliminary investigations indicated that a verbal disagreement between a customer and an employee of the restaurant escalated into a physical confrontation. The incident was also captured in videos that circulated on social media.
Following inquiries at the scene, three individuals, one male and two females were identified as having been involved in the altercation. They were arrested and transported to Police Headquarters in Philipsburg for further questioning and processing.
The investigation remains ongoing. The individuals involved will now face criminal charges based on their respective roles and actions during the confrontation, pending the outcome of the investigation.
