St. Eustatius — In the afternoon hours of Thursday, the 13th of August, a traffic control was held on Van Tonningenweg on St. Eustatius. During this check, seven (7) cars and one scooter were checked.
A total of ten fines were issued for the following violations:
4x for driving without a seatbelt;
2x for driving without paid road tax;
2x for driving without a front license plate;
1x for driving without valid insurance;
1x for riding without a helmet.
Traffic controls will continue.
