WILLEMSTAD, Curacao — Interim Managing Director of Postal Services St. Maarten N.V. (PSS N.V.), Marinka Gumbs recently attended the 24th Congress of the Postal Unions of the Americas, Spain, and Portugal (UPAEP) 2021, which was held on Curacao from October 18 to 22, 2021.

UPAEP organizes congresses annually to discuss matters relevant to the advancement of the postal sectors worldwide. With its 28 member states, the assembly this year established the management strategies of the postal union for the next 4 years. Curacao was selected as the organizing country.

PSS officially joined UPAEP in 2013, after being designated by the Universal Postal Union as the official operator responsible for providing postal services in Sint Maarten as per January 1, 2012, replacing Nieuwe Post Nederlandse Antillen NV (NPNA).
