COLE BAY, Sint Maarten — The Special Unit Robbery is presently investigating and armed robbery which took place on Tuesday morning August 29th at approximately 07.10 a.m. at the Star Mart on the Welfare road in Cole Bay.
This is when two unknown men, dressed completely in dark/black clothing with their face covered arrived at the gas station on a scooter (skeleton). Both men were in possession of a fire-arm. They stormed into the building and while threatening the cashier stole an undisclosed amount of cash. After committing this act both men got back onto the scooter and fled the scene heading in the direction of Kruythoff round about.
