PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — On Friday, July 15, 2017 at approximately 10:11AM the Alberto’s Fashions clothing store on Frontstreet was robbed at gunpoint by two armed men. The manager of the store was robbed of his possessions on him, and so were clients in the store at the time.
The manager along with the clients in the store were taken to the warehouse to the rear of the store by gunpoint, and in the warehouse robbed of their possessions.
The armed robbers ordered the manager to empty his pockets. According to reliable source the armed robbers walked up to the manager first, and after taking everyone to the warehouse part of the store a shot was fired inside the warehouse.
Money was also taken from the cash register by a second robber.
