CUL-DE-SAC, St. Maarten – On Wednesday afternoon, June 21, around 2:00pm a scooter rider travelling on the Bush Road intersection with Zagersgut Road got in an accident with an SUV, which was on Bush Road heading toward the roundabout.
The scooter rider was overtaking another vehicle and ended up slamming into the SUV.
The rider suffered some minor injuries, but was complaining of pain to his legs. Ambulance personnel treated him at the scene, and then transported him to St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) for further medical treatment.
The Traffic Department is busy with the investigation.
