SIMPSON BAY – The Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) donated to Battle of the Fittest Tournament for the third year, thus consistently recognizing the po7sitive efforts of the Together We Can Foundation.
“We are very happy with the support of PJIA towards our tournament. We are trying to showcase great basketball and talent. This tournament is invitational only for club teams within the region. This is the third annual tournament and PJIA has been contributing since our inception. Similar events have come through the area in the past, but nothing unique like Battle of the Fittest, which is as much a celebration of basketball in our community as it is a competition,” the foundation said in a statement.
“Our donation is in keeping with the company’s corporate social responsibility,” stated representatives of PJIA. “Everyone plays a role in the enhancement of our community. Together we can achieve a lot more. PJIA wishes the organization much success.”
