Sint Maarten to host group 1 of the 2016 CFU U-20 Qualifiers

~ ‘U-20 Sint Maarten team to compete against Cuba, Puerto Rico and Antigua & Barbuda’ ~

Cayhill, Sint Maarten — After the recent success of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) U15 competitions that took place on Sint Maarten in August of last year, the Sint Maarten Soccer Association (SMSA) is again hosting another football competition that will take place on the 15th, 17th and 19th of June 2016. The 2016 CFU U-20 Qualifiers is the qualifying event for the U-20 CONCACAF Championships. Results from the CFU Men’s U-20 2016 Draw put Sint Maarten in group 1 together with Cuba, Puerto Rico and Antigua & Barbuda.

The national selection team has been training for weeks under the guidance of head coach Sandro Garcia. During the opening night on Wednesday June 15th, Sint Maarten will face Puerto Rico at 20:30pm directly following the game of Cuba and Antigua & Barbuda that will start at 18:00pm. On Friday, Sint Maarten team will go against Puerto Rico (20:30pm) and on Sunday the final game will be played against Cuba (19:30pm).

All games will be played at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex. Entrance fee for the games is $5 per night and a limited amount of tickets is available during presale for a package deal of a total of $10 for all three nights.
