The organizers announced the decision to postpone SMART

PHILIPSBURG/MARIGOT – SMART stakeholders – L’Office du Tourisme de St. Martin, the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau, the St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association (SHTA) and L’Association des Hoteliers de St. Martin – announced the decision to postpone the St. Martin/St. Maarten Annual Regional Trade Show (SMART) 2016.

The 15th edition of SMART was slated for May 18-20, at Le Beach Hotel. Organizers have sited logistical challenges, and timing conflicts, as the main reasons for the postponement, which negatively affected registration numbers.

L’Office du Tourisme de St. Martin, St. Maarten Tourist Bureau, the SHTA and L’Association des Hoteliers de St. Martin, would like to thank those who showed interest and registered for SMART 2016. In addition, the organizers would like to thank all sponsors who committed to contributing to SMART.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We will utilize the bonus planning time to revisit the show format, making innovations to ensure a successful and lucrative SMART 2017, edition for all. Look out for our ‘Save the Date,’” the organizers said.
