ROTTERDAM, the Netherlands – Flinx Recruitment Expo Dutch Caribbean (FRED) is back this year for its 5th edition, connecting Dutch Caribbean employers once again with professionals living in the Netherlands.
The event will take place May 26-29, at the WTC-Beurs in Rotterdam. The four-day event has an array of activities where professionals can interact with employers; attend a company dinner, the job fair, and have interviews with companies. The goal of this large-scale event is to offer professionals, graduates, pre-graduates and scholars the opportunity to find an ideal job or internship.
FRED has confirmed more than 20 participating companies from Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St. Maarten, Suriname and the Netherlands for this year’s event.
This event will start with the company dinner held on Thursday, May 26, which will bring together candidates and Dutch Caribbean professionals in an informal setting. A rotating system will allow the Dutch Caribbean professionals to speak with and get to know multiple candidates over the course of the evening.
The Job Fair will be held on Saturday, May 28, at WTC-Beurs in Rotterdam, starting at 11:00am and ending at 6:00pm. This will give graduates, pre-graduates, scholars and professionals the opportunity to visit all participating companies and inquire about opportunities to return to the islands with a new career.
FRED will conclude on Sunday, May 29, with the Company Interviews. Companies can pre-select candidates to have an interview with them based on their resume or companies can invite a candidate at any one of the FRED activities to have an interview on Sunday.
This year at FRED, companies such as: KPMG in the Dutch Caribbean and Suriname, KPMG Meijburg Caribbean, SOAB, Deloitte, St. Elisabeth Hospital, HBN Law, BearingPoint Caribbean, PwC Dutch Caribbean, Kooyman, Mental Health Foundation of St. Maarten, White Yellow Cross of St. Maarten, Ictual, just to name a few, will be present. In addition to the participating companies, there will be several other social and student organizations present at the job fair to give out information on that day.
