P O L I C E   R E P O R T: Recruits swear  in

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — On Friday September 25th 2015 all 18 recruits presently in training for the Police Force have been sworn in by the Honorable Minister of Justice Dennis Richardson.

The ceremony took place at the Philipsburg Police Station in the presence of the Chief of Police Peter De Witte, Acting Chief of Police Commissioner Carl John, instructors at the Justice Academy Inspectors Norwin Villareal and Kethura Brown.

The recruits will be undergoing a six week practical training to get a hands-on view of actual police work.

To be able to do this practical training the recruits have to sworn in. The recruits will be guided and given instructions by certified mentors in the office and on the streets.

Minister Richardson congratulated the recruits and encouraged them to continue to do well during the training.
