PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) is providing an update regarding the shooting incident that occurred on August 29, 2026, in the Suckergarden area.
On Thursday, September 3, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., a male suspect identified by the initials J.A.U.R. was arrested in the Bush Road area by members of KPSM’s Quick Response Team (QRT) and the Major Crimes Team.
Following his arrest, the suspect was brought to the police station and arraigned by the acting prosecutor. He remains in custody pending further investigation.
The Major Crimes Team continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and is still seeking assistance from the public.
