Residential fire
Sint Eustatius — On Saturday, the 15th of August 15, at around 11:45 AM, the central control room received a report of a fire outside a residence on Vincent A. Lopez Road on Sint Eustatius. The fire originated near a washing machine located outside on the porch.
The fire department extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading further.
A resident who was inside was able to leave the house in time. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. Due to heavy smoke damage, the residence is temporarily uninhabitable. Alternative temporary housing has been arranged for the residents.
Injured man reports to Sint Eustatius police station
Sint Eustatius — On Friday, the 14th of August, at around 9:55 PM, an injured person entered the police station on Sint Eustatius. The individual stated that he had been assaulted and stabbed by several people near Spanish Quarter. Police officers at the station administered first aid to the man while awaiting the arrival of the ambulance.
The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital by ambulance for further medical treatment.

Two arrests for public drunkenness
Sint Eustatius — On Friday, the 14th of August, at around 5:35 PM, the central control room received a report of two men arguing on John Tearr Road on Sint Eustatius. Police officers arrived at the scene, spoke with the parties involved, and de-escalated the situation.
Shortly thereafter, another report was received regarding a confrontation between individuals at the same location.
Consequently, a 52-year-old man with the initials S.G.P. and a 57-year-old man with the initials E.F.L. were arrested, both for public drunkenness. A cane knife was also confiscated at the scene.
