SINT MAARTEN – On Thursday, September 17, 2026, the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise marked another important milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ruby Labega Primary School, expanding the Club’s Breakfast Program to reach more students.

The MOU was signed by Jina Mamtani-Mahbubani, President of the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise, and Jacklene Joedoeleksono-Gumbs, representing Ruby Labega Primary School. Also present were Rotarian Marcellia Henry, Rotarian Juliana Hodge-Shipley, and Secretary Claudia Conner.

The expansion was made possible through an XCG 50,000 allocation approved by Parliament, following a motion submitted by MP Sjamira Roseburg and approved on June 23, 2025. The initiative expands breakfast support to Ruby Labega Primary School, Milton Peters College (MPC), and Sundial School.

Rotary Sunrise is proud that this partnership increases the number of schools where the Club helps ensure children can start their school day with breakfast, ready to learn and thrive.
