THE KEYS, St. Maarten – A Kittian man remains in restrictive police custody after he was nabbed by police following a house search in The Keys, Sucker Garden, on Sunday September 9.

The house search was related to another raid by Police on a property at the intersection of Soualiga Road and Arch Road. Several young men were arrested in other unrelated cases. Among them was the Kittian who police sought in the murder in the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) parking lot.

On Monday, September 17, the man was brought by the prosecutor before the Judge of Instruction with a request to prolong the detention for eight days more. This request was granted by the judge.

The unnamed man’s arrest is in connection with the “Marmer” investigation into the gunning down of Jonathan Williams in Simpson Bay on August 4.
