PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — The Public Prosecutor ordered the release of R.A.P. (56) and R.P. (27) on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018. However both remain suspects and received summons to appear in court on April 19th, 2018.
R.A.P. the father of R.P. is accused of assault, threats, defamation and non-compliance with a police order. R.P. is accused of public disorder and assault, threats, defamation and non-compliance with a police order.
The suspects were arrested by the Korps Politie Sint Maarten (KPSM) following a head on collision which took place near the Daily Extra supermarket in Cole Bay on Sunday, March 4th, 2018 around 1:45am, involving a black Hummer, which R.P. was driving and a red Toyota car.
