ANGUILLA – The Royal Anguilla Police arrested and charged 28-year-old Alphonse Travis Carty of North Hill for possession of firearms and ammunitions on Thursday, August 25.
Carty, who was found in possession of two hand guns and over 100 rounds of ammunition during the execution of a search warrant on his premises, was charged with the offences and taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Friday, August 26.
The alleged offender was offered bail in the sum of EC $80,000 bond and EC $10,000 cash with two sureties. However, he was unable to make the conditions of the bail and was remanded at Her Majesty’s Prison.
He is due back in court on Monday, November 14, for the commencement of the Preliminary Inquiry into the charges.
