Customs and Immigration intercept drug load

bobby2PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten – In a press release issued by Head of the Customs Department A.J.G. Doran, it stated that on Tuesday afternoon, June 14, Custom Officers, in a joint control with Immigration, confiscated approximately 900 grams of cocaine and 5 kilos of marijuana in a black bag belonging to passenger A.A.D.

The passenger was about to leave for St. Barths. The drugs were found after a regular check at Bobby’s Marina. At this point Dutch and French law enforcement officers are working together on this case.

Customs also has confirmed that on Monday morning, May 23, Customs Officers at Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) confiscated approximately 12 kilos of cocaine in a box belonging to passenger J.C.

The passenger arrived on Insel Air coming from Curaçao.

Due to ongoing investigations on both cases, no further information can be released at this time.
