World Breastfeeding Week Family Fun Day Activity a Success

GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – The first activity to celebrate the start of World Breastfeeding Week, which is celebrated every year from 1 to 7 August in more than 170 countries, a Family Fun Day at the Emilio Wilson Park on Saturday, was a success.

Stakeholders present which included Collective Prevention Service (CPS), a department in the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labour, the Department of Labour within the aforementioned ministry, and the Educare Foundation, gave out information at their booths about general health care and about encouraging breastfeeding to improve the health of babies, which is currently being promoted around the world. 

Other businesses had booths at the park and the activity was held from 12.00pm to6.00pm
