PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten – As the long Easter weekend begun, the Dutch Coast Guard of the Caribbean continued to keep a watchful eye at sea, guarding the islands coastline.

On Friday evening at around 7:30 they sprang into action and confiscated a go-fast in the Great Bay Harbour.

We spoke to Officer Roderick Gouverneur the Spokesman of the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard who told us that twelve illegals were discovered to be on-board the go-fast boat.

The captain has been arrested for human smuggling as an in-depth investigation has been launched.
