SINT MAARTEN (KPSM) — The Korps Politie Sint Maarten (KPSM) has launched a virtual training program in partnership with the Dutch Police Academy to strengthen officers’ professional skills, improve decision-making, and enhance public safety.

The program will be finalized in 2027 which focuses on the daily challenges of policing, helping officers better assess situations, respond effectively under pressure, and make informed decisions in dangerous and complex circumstances.

The Honorable Minister of Justice, Nathalie Tackling, and Chief of Police Carl John were present to receive an overview of the virtual training system. KPSM is also proud to announce that one of its officers has been certified to deliver the training to fellow colleagues.

KPSM extends its sincere gratitude to the Dutch Police Academy, the Ministry of Justice of Sint Maarten, and the Board of Chiefs of Police for their support in making this training program available, including the provision of equipment and professional expertise.

Through this initiative, KPSM reaffirms its commitment to continuous professional development and ensuring that its officers are better equipped to serve and protect the community of Sint Maarten.
