The Event Marks 25 Years of Service and World Mental Health Day

Cay Hill, St. Maarten – The Mental Health Foundation invites the community to The Happiness  Event, a fun-filled street fair recognizing 25 years of supporting St. Maarten with mental health  services and promoting good mental health.

The celebration will feature a live DJ, staff meet-and-greets, community partner information booths,  kids’ activities, food and beverage vendors, special guests, and free raffle prizes. The afternoon is  designed to bring people together in a welcoming, stigma-free environment where mental health  awareness, connection, and community support can be celebrated.

“For 25 years, the Mental Health Foundation has worked to support individuals, families, and the  wider community,” said Dr. Hendrikus van Gaalen, Mental Health Foundation Medical Director. “The  Happiness Event is an opportunity to recognize that journey, strengthen community connections,  and remind everyone that good mental health matters,” he said.

Staff and clients will be available to provide information about the Foundation.
