SUCKER GARDEN, Sint Maarten – The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, August 29, 2026, on Arch Road.
Shortly after 3:00 a.m., Central Police Dispatch received several reports of a shooting in the area. Multiple police patrols and an ambulance were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was on his way home when he was approached and shot by one or more unknown assailants. Following the shooting, the suspect(s) fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC), where he is receiving medical treatment. His condition is described as stable but serious.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
