Traffic control on Sint Eustatius

Sint Eustatius — On Tuesday, the 15th of September, the police conducted a traffic control on the Father Van Tefelenweg on Sint Eustatius. During the control, a total of 15 vehicles were checked. Six drivers received a fine.

The fines were issued for the following violations:

5x for not wearing a seatbelt;

1x for driving without a valid driver’s license.

The Caribbean Netherlands Police Force (KPCN) reminds everyone that, pursuant to Article 82, Paragraph 1, Sub F of the Sint Eustatius Road Traffic Ordinance 2022 (Wegenverkeersverordening Sint Eustatius 2022), both the driver and passengers of a motor vehicle are required to wear a seatbelt. The police will continue to conduct traffic checks to enforce compliance with traffic regulations.
