Motorworld and S.L. Horsford & Co. Ltd., through Horsford’s Automotive, officially introduced the Chery vehicle brand to St. Kitts and Nevis on Friday, September 25, marking an important milestone in the expansion of Chery’s presence across the Caribbean.

Held at Horsford’s Automotive on Wellington Road, the launch brought together customers, partners, media and invited guests for an exclusive introduction to Chery’s modern SUV lineup. Attendees had the opportunity to experience the vehicles up close and discover the technology, design, safety and value that Chery brings to the Federation.

The launch also celebrated the connection between Chery’s global automotive presence and the vibrant culture of St. Kitts and Nevis, with cultural presentations by masquerades and mock jumbies adding colour, rhythm and local character to the evening.

Executive Chairman of Motorworld, Tariq Amjad, shared that “We are proud to partner with Horsford’s Automotive to bring Chery’s design, quality and innovation to the people of St. Kitts and Nevis. The response to the launch reflects the growing interest in Chery across the Caribbean and the confidence customers are placing in a brand that continues to raise the standard of modern mobility.”

Executive Chairman of the Horsford’s Group, Anthony Kelsick, said the launch marked an important step for the company and the local market.

“Chery represents a fresh opportunity for customers in St. Kitts and Nevis to access stylish, well-equipped and affordable new vehicles from a global automotive brand,” Mr. Kelsick said. “The tremendous response to the launch speaks to the public’s excitement and confidence in what Horsford’s Automotive is bringing to the market.”

Automotive Executive Joel MacEachrane said the Chery lineup was selected with today’s customer in mind.

“We are proud to introduce vehicles that combine comfort, technology, safety and exceptional value,” Mr. MacEachrane said. “From the moment the vehicles were revealed, the excitement was clear. This is only the beginning of the Chery journey in St. Kitts and Nevis.”

The launch followed a high-energy promotional campaign led by Horsford’s Group Marketing Manager, Wallis Wilkin, whose team generated strong public interest in the days leading up to the event.

“Our goal was to make people feel the arrival of Chery before they even stepped onto the showroom floor,” Mr. Wilkin said. “The response across the Federation has been remarkable. The turnout, excitement and overall atmosphere demonstrated that Chery has already created a strong buzz in the market.”

With the arrival of Chery, Motorworld and Horsford’s Automotive are expanding the range of choices available to drivers across St. Kitts and Nevis, introducing a new generation of vehicles designed around the needs of modern Caribbean lifestyles.

Chery’s growing regional presence reflects Motorworld’s continued commitment to bringing globally recognised automotive brands, advanced technology and greater choice to customers throughout the Caribbean.
