MAHO — The Korps Politie Sint Maarten (KPSM) is investigating an armed robbery that took place at a casino in the Maho area around midday on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
At approximately 12:00 p.m., Central Police Dispatch received several calls reporting that an armed robbery was in progress at a casino in the Maho area. Several police patrols and detectives were immediately dispatched to the location to investigate the incident.
Preliminary information indicates that two suspects, dressed in dark clothing, arrived at the casino in a small gray vehicle. The suspects reportedly rushed into the establishment, held personnel at gunpoint, and robbed the casino.
Following the robbery, the suspects fled the scene in the same vehicle in the direction of the French side of the island.
The investigation into this serious incident is ongoing. KPSM is requesting anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information that could assist with the investigation to contact the police.
