PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — Faction leader of the Nation Opportunity Wealth (NOW) Member of Parliament (MP) Lyndon C.J. Lewis extends his deepest sympathy and unwavering support to the people of Colombia following the powerful earthquake that struck the country earlier today, resulting in the tragic loss of life, injuries, and widespread destruction.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones, those who have been injured, and everyone whose home or community has been affected by this horrific disaster,” MP Lewis stated.

MP Lewis also extends his heartfelt sympathy to the Colombian community in Sint Maarten, particularly those with relatives and loved ones directly affected by the earthquake.

“At this incredibly difficult time, I wish the people of Colombia, as well as their families here in Sint Maarten, strength, courage, and comfort. Although many may be far from home, they should know that they are not alone in their grief and concern.”

MP Lewis further commends the emergency personnel, rescue workers, volunteers, and citizens working tirelessly to locate survivors and assist those in need. He joins along with his faction and the international community in standing in solidarity and in prayer with Colombia and remains hopeful that the affected communities will receive the necessary support to recover and rebuild.
