Police Investigate Death of Diver Following Sea Incident

The Valley, Anguilla – January 30, 2026 – The Royal Anguilla Police Force is investigating the death of a male diver following an incident at sea on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Sometime after 8:00 p.m., the Joint Emergency Services Control Room received a report requesting ambulance assistance for a male who was reportedly struck by a fish while diving.
Officers from the RAPF, along with personnel from the Emergency Medical Services and the Anguilla Fire and Rescue Service, responded to the report.
The injured man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The deceased has been identified as a 50 year old male, of Bad Cox, Anguilla.
An investigation has commenced, and the matter is being treated as a suspicious death pending further enquiries and forensic examinations. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
