The Office of the Official Spokesperson of María Corina Machado and Edmundo González formally begins operations today with the release of this initial statement. This official channel can be followed through the website www.venezuelaoficial.com.
Through this platform, the President-Elect of Venezuela and the leader of the Venezuelan democratic movement will share official statements, key announcements, news, interviews, and other communications. This Office acts in service of the national and sovereign will of the Venezuelan people, clearly expressed on October 22, 2023, and July 28, 2024.
Its mission is to contribute directly to the restoration of freedom and democracy in Venezuela by ensuring timely, accurate information and by countering the lies, propaganda, and disinformation systematically spread by those who oppose the country’s democratic transition.
Claudia Macero, Communications Coordinator of the Comando Con Venezuela, and David Smolansky, Deputy Director of the Comando Con Venezuela Office in Washington, will serve as official spokespersons in Spanish and English, respectively.
