PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — The sweepstakes winners of a ‘five-night romantic getaway for two’ at the Simpson Bay Beach Resort & Marina courtesy of the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau arrived here on Saturday September 30th.
The couple was presented with a St. Maarten Tourism Bureau’s goodie bag upon their arrival at the Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA).
The objective of sweepstakes was to exploit the reach of the internet to increase St. Maarten’s online presence and create positive destination awareness and promote the island’s revitalization after the passing of the catastrophic hurricane Irma in September 2017.
The STB extends sincere congratulations to Mr. Mike M. and his newlywed on winning the sweepstakes and wishes them an enjoyable stay on the island.
The sweepstakes was organized as a joint promotion between the STB and Port St. Maarten in our efforts to heighten the awareness about the destination and the fact that we are “open for business.”
