PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to take preventative measures to detect the disease, which can sometimes save lives.
On Friday, October 26th, PANDORA St. Maarten hosted their fourth annual PARTY FOR PINK with the Positive Foundation and celebrated their store’s tenth anniversary. It was a fun-filled evening, dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness and the PANDORA Store’s latest must-haves of the season including its new PANDORA Reflexions™ Collection, new additions to the PANDORA Rose™ Collection and the Autumn Collection.
In honor of Pink October, valued customers sipped pink drinks and enjoyed light bites as they fell in love with the beauty of PANDORA jewelry at the store in Philipsburg. A special offer on PANDORA rings and earrings were offered to guests, a raffle of beautiful pink PANDORA jewelry. A portion of event sales was kindly donated to the Positive Foundation.

We believe in the change that a positive attitude can make in the battle against the breast,” explained Dilys. The Positive Foundation is a non-profit organization in St. Maarten that has been in existence for 20 years now. Their mission is to save lives by continuing their breast cancer related initiatives, like free clinical breast examination (CBE), run/walk challenges and community education.
“We are delighted to care for our community and through events like this, we contribute to furthering the goals of the Positive Foundation – all while empowering women to express themselves with PANDORA. After last year’s unfortunate events with Irma for all, we were amazed at the great turnout this year from the community. We look forward to working together for years to come to grow the event and awareness in the battle against breast cancer” said Lavina Nandwani from PANDORA St. Maarten.
