~ Central Committee meeting of Parliament to address the proposed foreign laborers coming in to work or assist Sint Maarten with the rebuilding phase, in the aftermath of hurricanes Irma and Maria and Discussion on the general labor situation on Sint Maarten ~

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The House of Parliament will sit in a Central Committee meeting on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

The Central Committee meeting is scheduled for 14.00 hrs. in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. The Minister of Public Health, Social Development & Labor will be present.

The agenda points are:

1. Approval composition delegation and provisions for Members of Parliament to participate in Flag Day celebration Curaçao on July 2, 2018 (IS/708/2017-2018 dated June 19, 2018)

2. Discussion with Minister VSA to address the proposed foreign laborers coming in from abroad to work or assist Sint Maarten with the rebuilding phase, in the aftermath of hurricanes Irma and Maria (IS/312/2017-2018 dated February 2, 2018)

3. Discussion on the general labor situation on Sint Maarten

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations.
