PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — Suspect O.A. by instruction of the Public Prosecutor, was released from pre-trial detention on Tuesday, March 6th, 2018. However he remains a suspect in the “Squid” investigation.
The “Squid” investigation conducted by the National Detectives of St. Maarten concerns accusations of “vote buying” during the 2016 Parliamentary Elections.
A number of suspects and witnesses are still to be questioned in this investigation and confiscated items are being carefully analyzed.
