Kathia Magdeleine chosen as delegate to United Nations Commission

Marigot, St. Martin – BPW Concordia (Business Professional Women) President, Ms. Kathia Magdeleine was nominated by the International Federation of Business Professional Women to act as a delegate at the 62nd United Nation Commission on the Status of Women.

“I am truly humbled at the opportunity of serving as a delegate at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

I am also learning that as a member of BPW Concordia, and by extension a member of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women, the opportunities are limitless,” said Magdeleine.

Representatives of member states, United Nation entities, and ECOSOS accredited non – governmental organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world will be attending the session. She will be accompanied by : Ms. Danielle Chance Vice President of Public relations, Ms. Linda Lake (Treasurer), Ms. Soshina Stephens, Young BPWC Representative and three other members who will be attending the 2018 Leader’s Summit.

Magdeleine further told 721 News that she never imagined that BPW Concordia St. Martin, which was accepted as an affiliate of the federation on March 28th, 2017, would be held in such high esteem in such a short period of time.

‘BPW has proven to be a propeller for persons who are serious about leadership and professional development.  Its consultative status with the United Nations allows a vast array of career and networking opportunities,’ said Magdeleine.
