The Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport would like to remind the general public of the following meetings:

  1. All persons or businesses who wish to sell products at St. Martin Day events are hereby invited to a meeting on Monday October 23rd 2017 at 6pm at the New Government Administration Building. Registration will take place thereafter.

 

  1. All Bands, Choirs, Vocalists, Musicians, Dancers, Dance groups, Poets and Special entertainment acts who wish to contribute their performance for the love of St. Martin, to the St. Martin Day Activities are hereby invited to a meeting on Tuesday October 24th 2017 at 6pm at the New Government Administration Building. Registration will take place thereafter.
  2. All cultural groups who wish to participate in the SXM STRONG Cultural parade on St. Martin Day 2017 are hereby invited to a meeting on Wednesday October 25th 2017 at 6pm at the New Government Administration Building. Registration will take place thereafter.

Open Call to Photographers

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport is organizing a Portraits and Poetry in the Park event on November 5th 2017.  There will be a photography exhibition from 9 am to 6 pm centered  around professional photos of St. Maarten/St. Martin before, during and post Hurricane Irma. Therefore we are inviting all professional photographers who possess such portraits and wish to display them, to please contact Thamara Cannegieter at 520-1368 or email at Thamara.cannegieter@sintmaartengov.org during the hours of 10 am and 3 pm.

If you are organizing events leading up to and including St. Martin Day 2017, The Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport is inviting you to please send us details and information regarding your event in order to include it in the Ministry’s official St. Martin Day 2017 calendar of events. However, please note that it is up to the discretion of the Ministry to determine what events are placed on the calendar.
