GREAT BAY (May 3, 2017)—The St. Maarten Small Properties Association (SMSPA) hosted a lunch meeting for visiting tour operators, travel agents, and a travel reporter from the Netherlands last Thursday, said Nzinga Lake, SMSPA president.

The tour organizers of the Carnival Fam-trip, Marlon Beauperthuy of Le Beau Riezen and Suzette Moses-Burton of 721 Hub Marketing, also attended the meeting at Carl’s and Sons Lounge on WJA Nisbeth Road.

“At the meeting the SMSPA board members and the representatives of the travel agencies and media discussed the opportunities that might be available to St. Maarten’s small hotels in the Dutch market. Information was also exchanged about how to network our small properties with travel agents and operators in the Netherlands,” said Lake.

“The SMSPA board would like to thank Kenrick Housen and his staff at Carl’s and Sons Lounge, and Sjaoel Richardson, for making the luncheon as enjoyable to all involved as it was informative,” said Lake.

Small hotel properties that are interested in joining SMSPA can contact the association at, said Lake.
