POLICE: Road closures in connection with the Children Carnival Parade



PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — In connection with the upcoming “ Youth Carnival Parade” which is scheduled for Saturday April 8th the Police department is informing the public regarding the following road closures.

The troupes of this parade will be gathering at the Jose Lake Senior Ball Park on the L.B. Scot road at 12.00 p.m. During the gathering no traffic will be allowed on the Gladiola road between the Coralita road and L.B. Scot road.

The parade will depart the Jose Lake Sr. Ball Park at 02.00 p.m. via the L.B. Scot road in the direction of Philipsburg. All traffic to and from the Reward and Sint Peters areas will have to take alternative routes to get to and from their destinations.

The parade will then go via the Bush road, Prince Bernard Bridge, Walter Nisbeth road, Salt Pickers round about, Soualiga Boulevard and end at the Little League Ball Park.

All streets and alleys connected to this route will be closed to all vehicle traffic during the passing of the parade. When the parade has passed these streets and alleys will again be opened to all traffic.

All drivers are advised to take good note of this information to avoid any unnecessary delays or inconvenience.
