SIMPSON BAY – 37 Adventures NV, is donating over $12,000 worth of entry tickets for their upcoming Kids Expo to local charities and foundations.

The foundations can choose how to use the tickets – give them out to families they serve or sell them as a fundraiser. Schools, sports teams, social clubs – all organizations focused on children or families – are invited to register for the free “Kids Expo Volunteer to Participate” program.

Each group will provide 10 volunteers to work a 6-8 hour shift in return for a free booth space at the expo to gain awareness, a listing in the printed “Family Guide to St. Maarten/St. Martin,” and 40 tickets to the Expo.

On April 26, three of the registered organizations will be randomly selected to receive an additional 100, 200 or 300 tickets. “With a face value of $10 per ticket that’s a great fundraiser! It sure beats washing cars or hosting a bake sale!” a press release said.

Several organizations including the Boyz n Girls Club, Funtopia Youth Initiative and No Kidding with Our Kids Foundation have already registered to take advantage of the “Kids Expo Volunteer to Participate” program. The program is open to a maximum of 15 groups or 150 volunteers. If organizations or businesses want to be part of the Kids Expo, but not volunteer, they can still register for a booth and have the option to sell the included 40 tickets to reimburse their registration fees.

Exhibiting at the Kids Expo is an excellent way to build awareness and get information out to the public.

The Kids Expo is happening at Port de Plaisance on May 14. It is a day of play, learning and discovery for all ages. Tickets to the Kids Expo are $10 and can be purchased at Van Dorp or through participating exhibitors. Entry includes all games, activities and seminars throughout the day.

Exhibitors at the Expo range from dentists to toy shops to sports organizations. A Fun Zone will include a bicycle track with demo bikes, inflatables, a running obstacle course, and a virtual reality chair. Throughout the Expo, other play areas include a video game booth, a 4’x8’ train track, giant games, construction toys building areas, and arts and crafts projects.

The youngest children will have a baby and toddler zone dedicated just to them. Special programming throughout the day is also included in the entrance fee and includes four programs from the Philipsburg Jubilee Library including Story Time, Rhyme Time and a Puppet show (in conjunction with USM). An educational seminar schedule is still being finalized, but will include seminars on nutrition, aromatherapy for the family, dental hygiene for children, and the importance of play.

As a key sponsor United Telecommunication Services (UTS) will be offering several specials during the event on both their mobile and internet services and will be giving away a “Family Adventure.” Community Sponsor, Fun Miles, will also be on site with promotions including a Fun Miles Point Giveaway.  Kids Expo is produced by 37 Adventures.
