Armed robbery
On Thursday, February 2, at approximately 1:00pm, an unknown man stormed into Zong Supermarket located in Middle Region with a machete and threatened the cashier with it.
He then went on to rob the establishment of undisclosed sum cash from the register. After committing this act the suspect fled on foot. This case in being investigated by the Special Robbery Unit.
Three suspects arrested
In connection with the ongoing investigation regarding the finding of a firearm in the Pointe Blanche Prison, detectives have identified three inmates as possible suspects in this case.
These inmates have been questioned and they remain detained at the prison for further investigation.
