Regional female calypso competition added to Festival 2016 line-up

 MONTSERRAT – This December, female calypsonians from across the region will take to the Festival Village stage in hopes of being crowned Queen of Queens.

The Montserrat Festival Committee will host Queen of Queens: Regional Female Calypso Competition on Wednesday, December 28, at Festival Village. The Regional Female Calypso Competition was last held in December 2014. The decision was made to host the competition again after the cancellation of this year’s Queen Show.

The reigning queen, Chrystal Cummins-Beckles from Barbados, will defend her crown against calypsonians from Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia. St. Maarten, St. Thomas, St. Vincent & the Grenadines and, of course, Montserrat.
