Anguilla Police arrest man for sexual offences

ANGUILLA – The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Sunday, June 19, arrested and charged a 50- year-old man from South Hill for unlawful sexual intercourse and indecent assault.

The alleged offender was taken to the Magistrate’s Court on Monday, June 20, charged with both offences where he was granted bail in the sum of EC $80,000 with two sureties.

His conditions of bail are that he is to report to the police every Monday and Friday between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm. The alleged offender was also ordered not to live or go where the victim resides, avoid going within 100 ft. of the victim and have no contact either directly or indirectly with the victim or any of the witnesses in the matter.

He is due back in court on Monday, September 26, to answer to the charges.
