St. Maarten Lions Club holds successful Christmas Bingo 2015

Over 2000 persons attended the bingo whereby the general public could play for overloaded Christmas baskets, airline tickets, hotel stays and restaurant vouchers.

According to Bingo Chairman Lion Davey Woods; “the club is very happy with enormous support from the public that came out play last Saturday along with the great support of the business community that donated baskets and prizes for the event. Apart from all business that supported we really have to mention our two major sponsors Windward Roads & St. Maarten Harbor Group of Companies for their generosity over the last few years”.

The big winners at the 2015 Lions Christmas Bingo were: 1 round-trip ticket on Winair to any destination – Roseline Laville, 1 round-trip winner on Insel Air to Curacao – Ridaysa Dollison, 1 round-trip winner on Air Caraibes to Paris – Juli-Ann Sorrel,1 round-trip ticket on Winair/Air Antilles to Puerto Rico – Marcel Adams, 1 round-trip ticket on Insel Air to Santo Domingo – Glenny Cornelius,  1 round trip ticket on Winair/Air Antilles to Puerto Rico – Adora Gumbs,1 round-trip ticket on Air France to Paris – Irma Kleeberg. The winner of the US$1000 Santa’s Bag was Alejandro Brooks.

All proceeds raised from the Lion Wally Havertong Christmas Bingo Spectacular will be used by the St. Maarten Lions Club for various worthwhile community projects on St. Maarten such as recently completed “Kids Movie Date” with various foster homes and the Lion Nelson vd Linde Seniors Party at Princess Port de Plaisance amongst many others.
