GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), announces that there will be a partial road closure from Sunday, October 25 at 8.00pm to Monday, October 26 at 5.00am.
No through traffic will be permitted during the aforementioned timeframe on the Little Bay Road and Octavius L. Richardson Street, starting from the Sonesta Great Bay Hotel until Belair Hotel.
The partial road closure is related to milling works and the pouring of asphalt as part of the Government’s road paving program.
Access will only be granted to hotel guests and emergency vehicles.
All motorised traffic heading in the direction of Philipsburg via the Hospital round-a-bout will be re-routed via Welgelegen Road and all traffic with direction Cay Hill or Cole Bay will be re-routed to commute via the Bush Road.
Traffic signs will be in place indicating the temporary detours and therefore, motorists are requested to pay keen attention.
Ministry VROMI apologizes for any inconveniences this may cause.
