SAINT LUCIA –– Saint Lucia’s first response crew departs for Dominica on Saturday, August 29, 2015.
Officers from the Special Services Unit (SSU) of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) as well as other officials will arrive in Dominica via “The Defender” on Saturday morning to assist with search, rescue and recovery efforts.
The vessel will also be carrying emergency supplies such as hygiene and medical kits, supplied by the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) ‪#‎HelpIsOnItsWay‬ ‪#‎StLuciaResponds‬
